strength training in yoga studio

Strength & Yoga

A weekly course with the intention of integrating the best of strength training and a yoga practice. Allowing you to feel the best version of yourself! Tuesdays 6.45pm-7.30pm online

Not by promising  a ‘new you’, but instead showing you how to tap in and build on your strength.

How? By giving you the tools to have a transformative combination of a yoga practice and a resistance training.

Yoga is a transformative  practice in so many ways. Physically, emotionally, energetically - we get so much from this practice.  It has been my main movement practice for about 20 years. But in the last 5 years I felt that I had plateaued in my practice. I had hit a wall.  I still loved the practice, but it felt a bit stagnant.  Looking to change things up, I started strength training.

It started off as a once a week activity.  But seeing and feeling the changes, not just physically but energetically as well, it soon joined yoga as a near daily practice.

The difference it made to my yoga practice was incredible.  Arm balances that had previously eluded me started to take shape.  My flexibility not only stayed the same, but also increased in some ways.  But more importantly, I feel fantastic with this combination of yoga and strengthening practice.

I have been open about my new love for weight training, and I have had many enquiries about it. Many people are interested in adding to their yoga practice, but aren’t sure how to begin. If you aren’t a’gym’ person, then going to the gym or even doing you tube videos can be intimidating and off putting. And there is also the problem of accountability with pure recorded content. It is too easy to prioritise everything else but ourselves.

This will be an online class.  If you can’t make the live classes the recordings are available to all who sign up

This is an introduction I did at the beginning of my first course, reSet & reConnect. If you don’t know me, then I feel this gives you an idea of how I approach my practices and my intentions with my courses.
